I am five years short of sixty but I can promise you that I won’t be changing my outlook whatever age I am. The number of people aged 40 who look and act like my grandfather is enormous. Why people settle for M & S sweaters and a life in front of the telly is beyond me. My hair is slightly (very) too long and my clothes trendy. I go to rock concerts, sports events, theatre, cinema and anywhere else that takes my fancy. My girlfriend is the same and we are both dedicated to noy being mutton dressed as lamb but to being young at heart and enjoying our lives to the full.
So throw off the cardie grandma and ditch the pop socks. In the imortal words of 10cc -
Life is a minestrone
Served up with parmesan cheese
Death is a cold Lasagne
Suspended in deep freeze
Love is a fire of flaming brandy
Upon a crepe suzette
